Jeffrey R. Youngman, Esq., was recently interviewed by Adam Clark of NJ.com regarding his representation of the family of Jocelyn Walters, a 14-year-old girl who tragically took her life as a result of being bullied at Middletown North High School. Namely, the Walters family is suing the Middletown school district for negligence and wrongful death, while seeking unspecified damages.

The family claims that the district failed to intervene and stop their daughter from being bullied by other students, even though it was previously reported. Further, it failed to respond in any capacity, even though a reasonable school district knew, or should have known, that its actions, or failure to act, would result in physical or emotional harm. With this, Youngman commented, “What the hell signs did this school need to take drastic action instead of doing absolutely nothing? What else were they waiting for?”
